Kerala Trip (9th April to 25th April)

Reached back from Kerala today morning. The trip lasted 2 weeks and it served its main purpose, to get away from the boredom at home.

Visited my relatives in Ernakulam, Vaikom and Kottayam. My mom's home town is Kottayam and her parents are there. Dad's hometown in Vaikom and his parents as well as one of his brother is there. Mom's eldest sister is in Ernakulam. Visited them and got blessings before I joined my job.

I also visited my first teacher - Ms. Baby - my teacher in LKG & UKG. She was so pleased to see me. Its amazing that she recognized me instantly. Talked for a long time with her regarding my mischieveousness as well as my friends in LKG & UKG. Its worth mentioning that I was very much scared to go to school. Ms. Baby was our neighbour and she had just started a nursery. Since I knew her, I agreed to go along with her, but on one condition, that I would be sitting on her lap in the car during the daily trips to and from the nursery. I was a recluse, and did not mingle well with the students there initially. The only person I used to talk was Ms. Baby. Slowly I began to get bolder and made a lot of friends there. Good old times!!!!!

I also made a trip to Sabarimala. I accompanied my dad, my cousin Appu and the husbands of my mom's sisters (She has 2 sisters). There is a lot to write about Sabarimala, may be in the next blog. We left on 13th morning and returned by 14th evening.

Towards the end of the Kerala trip, I started getting bored there as well. There also my main time pass was watching TV.

Lot of my friends have joined their jobs. Lucky guys, atleast they are not getting bored in their homes. I have another month left to be spent at home.

Arun Panicker & Google

I have always wanted something related to me to appear as the result for a search for "Arun Panicker" in Google. For that I needed a website, which I did not have. I have been searching for the past 2 years and usually I used to get articles of one Arun Panicker, Director of CRISIL.

Last week, while chatting with Yash - one of my friend at TAPMI - he mentioned that my blog was the top search result for "Arun Panicker". Try this.

A dream come true. I need to keep updating the blog regularly to maintain the top spot!!!!!

Last Blog from Bangalore for the month

Tomorrow I will be leaving for Kerala with my parents. It has been a long time since I visited Kerala. The last time was when I went to pay my respects to the family of Ajit and Syam. That was during Dec 2003.

The main purpose of this visit is to make a trip to Sabarimala Temple and also to pay my respects to numerous family members before I start my job.

The temple trip is planned for 14th and 15th of April, which means that I will be missing Vishu celebrations at home. It has been a long time since I celebrated Vishu at home. I will definitely miss the "Vishu Kani".

Have not yet decided about my return trip to Bangalore. As of now I am planning to return in the first week of May. The remaining updates for the month will be made from Kerala.

Gokul's Visit

I am getting fed up of eating, sleeping and watching TV. There are many more things in life, but I do not feel like doing any!!!!!

One week has passed since I left TAPMI, and I have got bored of this place. Missing the 24 hour net access of TAPMI.

Gokul had come during the weekend, from Chennai, so the weekend passed off well. For those who do not know about him, he was my classmate during my engineering days. We got to know about each other during the end of the 2nd year, which was a bit late. Over the next 2 years, we became close friends, and to date he is my best friend. Both of us have been through a lot of ups and downs in life, and finally after all the struggle, we are beginning to settle in life. Luckily both of us have ended up in Chennai, and we will be roommates for a long time, until our wives take us apart!!!!!

Gokul was staying with me during his 2 day visit to Bangalore. This is the first time he met my parents. I have made numerous trips to his home, mostly for food and sometimes for studies.

Met a lot of engg friends during the weekend - Muniaraj, Vasanth and Nagaraju. Had met Lakshmikanthan on Thursday, had a nice time with him in Forum. Lakshmi eyes a salesgirl there and we had a nice time ogling at her.

This week is going to be boring, there is nothing to be done. I will be leaving for Kerala on 8th and have not planned my return trip as of now. So I do not know when I will be able to update my blog next.
